Akron Safety Town is a free, fun, hands-on educational program designed to teach young children about bicycle, bus, fire, playground, gun, dog, poison, stranger-danger, 911, crossing a street and other safety issues. This summer, the 2019 Akron Safety Town will be held at two locations: 
  • Resnik CLC (65 N. Meadowcroft Drive) from June 3-7 and
  • Findley CLC (65 W. Tallmadge Ave.) from June 10-14. 

Safety Town is open to children who reside in the City of Akron and are entering kindergarten or first grade in fall 2019. Each session runs Monday-Friday with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the program running from 9 a.m.-noon. Each child will receive an Akron Safety Town T-shirt and a bicycle helmet. Sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis; so register early. Registration may be turned in to your child's school until the end of the school year or mailed to: Akron After School, 65 Steiner Ave., Akron, OH 44301.
